Press Officer at Lantmäteriet

The joint government operational area consists of supporting and governing units that assist Lantmäteriet's other operational areas. Here, you will help ensure that everyday operations run smoothly! RESPONSIBILITIES
As the press officer, you will contribute your expertise and ensure that communication is used as a strategic tool to achieve Lantmäteriet's and the agency's goals. You will work strategically and operationally with press and media issues. You will write press releases and contribute through external news to strengthen the trust in the authority. In your operational work, you will ensure that news is published in relevant channels, including social media.
You will be responsible for coordinating and conveying contacts to journalists. You will also provide them with news tips and materials that can generate media coverage. Regular media monitoring, measurement, and follow-up are also part of your responsibilities.
In your work, you will be a strategic support to the agency's management for press issues. You will support managers and employees in media contacts through, for example, message formulation and media training. You will also be part of the agency's crisis communication preparedness and handle media issues in sensitive situations.
The position is located within the Communication operational area with 21 employees, and you will be part of the press function together with another press officer.
The location is Gävle or Stockholm with a need for regular presence at our Gävle office.
In this recruitment, we apply a six-month probationary period.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a university degree in communication science, journalism, PR, or other experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
You have at least five years of professional experience in press responsibility and media management, as well as experience of employment in the Swedish public sector. Experience of employment in a government agency is an advantage.
You have an excellent ability to express yourself in both speech and writing, and you have experience working with strategic communication. You have a good ability to quickly understand complex materials, both verbal and written, and transform them into clear and accessible communication of high quality.
You have a good understanding of media logic and news evaluation and are comfortable in your contact with journalists. You also have good experience in media monitoring, measurement, and follow-up in the field. You have experience providing media training and support in press issues to managers and specialists. Your experience and understanding of crisis communication work are strong, and you handle media issues in sensitive situations without difficulty. You also have a good understanding of the legal frameworks for public communication.
We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You are analytical and proactive, with the ability to find new approaches to work-related issues and then implement them in practice.
To succeed in the role, it is also important that you have good collaboration skills. You are structured and results-oriented in your work and meet your deadlines.
The position is security classified, which means you must be a Swedish citizen, and a security review with an accompanying security interview will be conducted in connection with employment.
